National Student Advertising Competition - TCU Selected as Wildcard Team, Goes to National Competition

It was announced last week that TCU has been selected for the wildcard spot in the National Student Advertising Competition after taking second place in the district-level competition at the District Convention in Dallas on April 17.

Second-place teams in districts with more than 12 competing college teams are eligible to compete for the wildcard spot at the national finals. To be considered, the second place team must submit their plans book (containing research information, analysis, creative executions, media plans, budget planning, promotions, etc.) to a panel of national judges. The judges select the plans book they find most compelling from among the second-place winners to compete as the wildcard team in the final competition. More than once, the wildcard team has won first place in the national competition.

Members of AAF's District Ten executive committee (including AAF-FW member Susan Adkins) will be in Atlanta cheering for TCU on June 8 and 9, when they will compete at the national level. (See story below for more information on the National Student Advertising Competition.)
